Letters Regarding Ulah’s Aged Care Performances

Dear Ulah,

I would like to tell you how everyone enjoyed your performance this week at Beecroft. This is the second time I have seen you perform there and I have to say that I am amazed at the response of the residents.

I have driven buses for Aged Care for 10 years.

On a personal level my mother-in-law was in a nursing home for 12 months and my mother is in care at Beecroft and has been there for 3 ½ years.

During this time I have spent a lot of time with residents as well as mothers.

I couldn’t believe the reaction that you got last year and the other day from the residents. Eyes twinkled, feet tapped and fingers wiggled. I was amazed. Many of these residents I speak of rarely give any indicators that they are very aware, and it did my heart good to see their response.

Ulah, thank you for bringing such joy to these dear people.
