MEET AND GREET
As guests mingle just prior to entering the reception they will be greeted by a lively trio consisting of Ulah, plus a dabuka drummer and your choice of a riq (Arabic tambourine), zamer or oriental flute player.
ROAMING ENTERTAINMENT
Ulah plus your choice of musicians (drummer, Arabic guitarist (playing oud) or flutist player if you wish) will entertain and roam among your guests. This is improvised dancing and playing and is very interactive. Ulah will dance with various props including veil, sticks and sword. She’ll also play Arabic rhythms adding to the music on zils (finger cymbals). It’s a lot of fun for the guests because as we roam many of them will get involved with the frivolities.

MEET AND GREET / PRE WEDDING RECEPTION
A trio as above but we’d be located at the reception entrance. We can move around also should you so desire. A wonderful, lively and warm welcome to the wedding reception.
ZAFFA INTO FLOOR SHOW
An exciting kick start to the celebration and for the bridal party to make a fabulous entrance into the reception.

Zaffa
Zaffa translates to wedding march or wedding procession. It is from the Arabic and Turkish cultures, it’s a musical procession including belly dancing, drums, horns and wind instruments. The zaffa wedding entrance announces that the bride and groom have arrived and leads them via the dance floor and then to their seats. Often the guests surround the dance floor upon the arrival of the bride and groom dancing and clapping around them.
A zaffa is a fabulous ingredient to add to your big day as it will lift the atmosphere immediately upon your arrival as husband and wife. Add excitement, energy and that special Arabesque atmosphere to your first celebration as a married couple.
